Friday January 20, 2012Gators Prepare to Host 2012 Gator Invite

The Florida track and field programs host the 2012 Gator Invite on Sunday, January 22. This is the first indoor meet the Gators have hosted in nearly two years.

 

Field events begin at 11 a.m. and running events will start at 1 p.m. Live results can be found on www.GatorZone.com, provided by Half-Mile Timing. Full results will be available on www.GatorZone.com after the meet has been completed.

 

The Gators are coming off a strong showing at the Crimson Tide Indoor Opener, which saw five first-place victories and nine top-three finishes.

 

On the women’s side, there are 26 women competing (11 in running events and 15 in field events) and 13 men participating (two in running events and 11 in field events).

 

The Gator men are still ranked No. 1 in the USTFCCCA Poll with 150.54 points. The next poll will be released on January 24.
