All-American Tahnai Annis (Zanesville, Ohio) was selected by the Western New York Flash as the 18th overall pick of the Women’s Professional Soccer draft, held Friday afternoon in Kansas City, Mo.

Annis was the only Gator selected in the 23 person draft. She was the final pick of the draft’s third round.

Annis concluded her senior season holding the No. 6 spot on the Gators’ Career Lists for points (92), goals (38) and shares No. 6 in game-winning goals (11). She was second among the 2011 Gators with 10 goals and third with 22 points. As a junior, she earned National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Performance Subaru All-America fourth team honors as well as a spot on the All-Southeastern Conference second team after turning career-highs for points (33) and goals (13).
