Friday December 16, 2011Florida Track & Field Recruiting Classes Ranked Top-10 by Track and Field News

Gainesville, Fla.

The Florida menís and womenís track & field programs have had their 2012 incoming freshmen classes named among the top-10 recruiting classes of the year by Track and Field News.

 

The Florida men, the two-time defending NCAA Indoor Champions, had their recruiting class ranked seventh, while the Florida womenís incoming recruiting class was ranked eighth.

 

Led by 2011 USTFCCCA National Indoor Head Coach of the Year Mike Holloway, the Gator men return 12 2011 USTFCCCA Outdoor All-Americans and seven 2011 USTFCCCA Indoor All-Americans. On the womenís side, seven 2011 USTFCCCA Outdoor All-Americans and four 2011 USTFCCCA Indoor All-Americans will take to the track for the Orange and Blue in 2012.

 

Florida opens the 2012 indoor season at the Alabama Invite in Birmingham, Ala. on January 14th before returning home to host the Gator Invite on January 22nd.
