Tuesday June 7, 2011UF Baseball NCAA Super Regional Against Mississippi State To Begin Friday
The NCAA Super Regional between SEC rivals Florida (48-16) and Mississippi State (37-23) at McKethan Stadium will begin on Friday at 12 p.m. and will be carried live on ESPN2HD. The second game of the best-of-three series will be at 12 p.m. on Saturday on ESPNHD, with the third and deciding game to begin at 1 p.m. on Sunday on ESPNHD if necessary.
The top-ranked Gators handled Manhattan (17-3) and knocked off No. 16 Miami (Fla.) twice, 5-4 and 11-4, to claim the Gainesville Regional for the third-straight year, while the Bulldogs swept the Atlanta Regional by defeating Southern Miss (3-0), Austin Peay (8-3) and host No. 9 Georgia Tech (7-3). The clubs have tangled four times this year, a regular-season series in Starkville and in the opening round of the SEC Tournament. MSU took the initial encounter, 7-5, while UF has taken the last three meetings by scores of 18-0, 3-1 and 7-5.

The eight Super-Regional hosts were announced today by the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee.
A minimum of 45 hours of super-regional television will be provided by family of ESPN channels, ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU. Consult local listings for specific games shown in each area of the country. As many as 15 national broadcast windows could appear on the three ESPN networks from June 10-13.
The following four Super Regionals will be played Friday, June 10, Saturday, June 11, and Sunday, June 12 (if necessary). The national seed is indicated before the team name, while updated records through the Regionals are in parenthesis.

The determination of the Mens College World Series order of first-round games both Saturday, June 18, and Sunday, June 19, will be announced Monday, June 13. The ESPN family of networks and www.NCAA.com/cws will release the CWS game dates and times as soon as they are available.
The 65th College World Series begins play Saturday, June 18, at the new TD Ameritrade Park Omaha in Omaha, Neb.
