Monday June 7, 2010Baseball's NCAA Super Regional To Begin On Friday
The NCAA Super Regional between No. 4 Florida (45-15) and the winner of Tuesday’s game between No. 11 Miami (Fla.) (42-18) and No. 20 Texas A&M (43-20-1) at McKethan Stadium will begin on Friday at 7 p.m. The game will be carried live on ESPN. The second game of the best-of-three series will be at 7 p.m. on Saturday on ESPN2, with the third and deciding game to begin at 7 p.m. on Sunday on ESPN2 if necessary.
The Gators handled Bethune-Cookman (7-3), knocked off Oregon State (10-2) and blanked Florida Atlantic (15-0) to claim the Gainesville Regional for the second-straight year, while the Hurricanes and Aggies were suspended on Monday night in a winner-take-all showdown to decide the victor of Coral Gables Regional. The game will resume at 1 p.m. on Tuesday with UM holding a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the second inning and Texas A&M batting.

A minimum of 45 hours of Super-Regional television will be provided by family of ESPN channels, ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU. Consult local listings for specific games shown in each area of the country. As many as 15 national broadcast windows could appear on the three ESPN networks from June 11-14.

The Super Regional hosted by Coastal Carolina will be played at BB&T Coastal Field in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
The determination of the Men’s College World Series order of first-round games both Saturday, June 19, and Sunday, June 20, will be announced Monday, June 14. The ESPN family of networks and www.NCAA.com/cws will release the CWS game dates and times as soon as they are available.
The 64th College World Series begins play Saturday, June 19, at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Neb.
