The University of Florida womenís tennis teamís Marrit Boonstra (The Netherlands) and Allie Will (Boca Raton, Fla.) played the top-seeded duo about as tough and close as possible, but in the end fell in a thrilling three-setter in the NCAA Doubles Championships Quarterfinals Saturday afternoon at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.

After an hour rain delay, the fifth-ranked Gator pair dropped a 2-6, 7-5, 7-6 (6) decision to Tennesseeís top-ranked team of Natalie Pluskota and Caitlin Whoriskey.

Boonstra, a senior, concludes her career with an impressive 75-22 career doubles record, including a 24-4 mark playing with Will, who was 37-7 on the doubles court in her impressive freshman season.

Saturdayís match marked the end of the Gators showing at the final event of the year.
