University of Florida’s Ashanée Dickerson (Ah-ZHAH-nay) picked up her fourth Southeastern Conference Freshman Gymnast of the Week honor, the league office announced Tuesday. Seniors Courtney McCool of Georgia and Morgan Dennis of Alabama shared the SEC Gymnast of the Week honor.

Dickerson picked up her fifth all-around win of the season last Friday at No. 16 Auburn with her total of 39.35. She is the second Gator gymnast since 1990 to collect five or more all-around wins as a freshman (Corey Hartung earned six in 2006). Dickerson also won the evening’s floor exercise title at 9.875 – her fourth floor title of the season.

Dickerson’s 14 event wins leads the Gators this year and is the most since Hartung collected 10 event titles through the first eight meets of her premiere season. In the Gym Info national rankings, Dickerson holds three top-10 positions - No. 5 all-around (regional qualifying average: 39.395), No. T7 vault (9.90 RQS) and No. T5 floor (9.895 RQS).

Next up, No. 4 Florida begins a two-meet home stand by playing host to North Carolina and Ball State on Friday, March 5. The triangular is set to begin at 7 p.m. in the Stephen C. O’Connell Center.
