Gainesville, Fla.

The University of Florida football team has accepted an invitation to play Big East Champion Cincinnati (12-0) in the 2010 Allstate Sugar Bowl Classic on Jan. 1, 2010, at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, La. The game will televised by Fox Sports. The Gators (12-1) will be making their 19th-straight bowl appearance, which ranks first in the SEC and second nationally. It will be UF’s eighth appearance in the Sugar Bowl, matching the Gator Bowl for the school’s most appearances at a bowl.

“Our team is looking forward to playing in the Sugar Bowl and knows that The Gator Nation will be there in force to support the winningest senior class in SEC history,” head coach Urban Meyer said.

The Gator Ticket Office will begin taking ticket orders for the 2010 Allstate Sugar Bowl Classic on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009, starting at 9 p.m. and anticipates that it will be able to fill a majority of ticket orders for the bowl game based on the parameters listed below. Football Booster season-ticket holders can order online at www.GatorZone.com/tickets, by visiting the Gator Ticket Office starting on Monday or by mailing their order in.

THE DEADLINE FOR ORDERING BOWL TICKETS IS 11:59 P.M., SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12, 2009. All orders MUST be received by the Ticket Office by this time.
