UAA Marketing Announces Men's Basketball Initiatives

The University Athletic Association is proud to announce initiatives surrounding upcoming Men’s Basketball games including two ticket promotions at Friday’s game versus Troy at 7 p.m. in the O’Connell Center.

Troy Ticket Promotions
Fans are encouraged to bring coats in good condition as a part of the Coats for Kids program benefiting the St. Francis House in Gainesville. Coat collection will take place at Gate 1 beginning at 5:30 p.m. Fans who donate a coat are eligible to purchase 2-for-1 general admission tickets at the ticket office. Also, fans that have tickets to the Florida-FIU football game on Saturday can bring their ticket to the basketball game to receive 2-for-1 general admission to the game.

Gator Tracks – Gator Basketball Doubleheader vs. Florida A&M (December 1, 2009)
On December 1st, the women’s and men’s basketball teams take on Florida A&M in a double-header at 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively. The games will serve as a collection site for the Student Athlete Advisory Council’s (SAAC) Gator Tracks program. Fans are encouraged to bring new sneakers for underprivileged Pre-K to 1st grade-age children and will receive 2-for-1 general admission to the games for their donation. SAAC members will be on-site to collect donations beginning at 3:30 p.m. at Gate 1.

UF Student Road Trip to SEC/Big East Invitational
The UAA announced that it will be providing transportation and tickets for UF students interested in attending the 2009 SEC/Big East Invitational between Florida and Syracuse in Tampa, FL on December 10 at the St. Pete Times Forum. Busses will depart from the Commuter Lot (off of Gale Lemerand Drive) at 5:30 p.m. UF students must register in advance at GatorZone.com/tickets/students/. Registration opens at Tuesday, December 1st at 6 p.m.
