UF Adds To Already Packed Promotional Schedule For Men's Hoops Opener On Sunday

Building on an already packed promotional schedule, the University Athletic Association, Inc. has announced additional promotional efforts for the regular season opener versus the Stetson Hatters on Sunday, November 15 at 4 p.m.

 

University of Florida clubs and organizations can participate in the Pack the House of Horrors Challenge. The organization (fraternity, sorority, campus organization, etc.) with the highest percentage of students attending the game (Check in at the Gate 3 Lobby) will receive a private tour of the football and basketball facilities and will have a private dinner with Head Coach Billy Donovan. The President/Leader of the organization must RSVP to Kari Hodgkiss of the UAA Marketing Office at 352-375-4683 ext. 6600 or KariH@gators.uaa.ufl.edu by Friday at 12 p.m. if their organization plans to compete. They will also need to provide the number of active members in their group.

 

One (1) UF student will win two (2) tickets to SEC Football Championship game in Atlanta, GA. As originally announced UF students who have registered for the Stetson game can enjoy a pre-game BBQ outside of Gate 3 of the O’Connell Center at Rowdy Town from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The first 2,000 Rowdy Reptiles in attendance will receive Rowdy Town t-shirts. One UF student will win $2,000 and one (1) UF student will win a trip for two (2) on a Men's Basketball Road Trip.

 

Another new initiative is the development of the Rowdy Town webpage on GatorZone.com, which will provide UF students with updated information on Rowdy Town promotions, photos and more.

 

The first 2,500 fans will receive 2009-2010 men’s and women’s basketball schedule key tags. Sunday is also the first of two (2) UF Faculty and Staff nights. Faculty and staff members, with valid ID, are able to purchase 2-for-1 tickets. Tickets must be purchased Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Gator Ticket Office located at Gate 1 of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

 

KTK/Gainesville Sun Gator Kids Club members have received a special invitation from Head Coach Billy Donovan allowing three (3) free general admission passes to the game to be used by the Gator Kids Club member and their chaperones. Tickets must be picked up Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Gator Ticket Office located at Gate 1 of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. The first 100 Gator Kids Club members that enter through Gate 4 will receive a coupon good for a free hamburger and fries!
