SEC Announces Sites For Men's & Women's Basketball Tournaments
The
Southeastern Conference has awarded sites for the SEC Men's Basketball
Tournaments (2013 and 2014) and SEC Women’s Basketball Tournaments (2010-2014),
Commissioner Mike Slive announced today.
The

Since the
first SEC Men's Basketball Tournament in 1933, the event has been held in 11
different cities; Atlanta, Ga. (1933-34; 1987, 1995, 1998-2000, 2002, 2004,
2005, 2007, 2008); Baton Rouge, La. (1938, 1988); Birmingham, Ala. (1979-1981;
1983, 1985, 1992); Knoxville, Tenn. (1936-37; 1939-40, 1989); Lexington, Ky.
(1982, 1986, 1993); Louisville, Ky. (1941-1952); Memphis, Tenn. (1994, 1997);
Nashville, Tenn. (1984, 1991, 2001, 2006); New Orleans, La. (1996, 2003);
Orlando, Fla. (1990); and Tampa, Fla. (2009).
