Sunday afternoon at McKethan Stadium. Joey Simon pitched 5 1/3 innings of
scoreless relief to allow the Gator comeback after being down 5-0 in the
4th inning.
Tim Olson ignited the comeback with a three-run homer in the 4th inning.
The hit extended Olson’s hitting streak to 26 games, tying him with Brad
Wilkerson for the UF school record.
Simon moves to 7-2 on the season with the victory. In Simon’s 5 1/3
innings of work he had three strikeouts, while allowing only two hits and
one walk. Craig Mosher started the game for the Gators before giving way
to Simon.
Jason Dill went 4-for-4 on the afternoon with two doubles and two singles.
Dill was 7-for-12 in the weekend series for the Gators who improved to 28-

the loss in relief and falls to 2-2.

including the go-ahead run in the seventh inning. Keene singled to
leftfield with one out in the inning and then advanced to third on a
single by Dill to rightfield. Peter Nystrom then hit into a fielder’s
choice to allow Keene to score the eventual winning run.
The Gators return to action on the road this Wednesday as the take on
