Starting
with the 2008 football season, the Florida Gators are excited to partner with Live Sports Radio in a joint venture
intended to offer fans an improved listening experience at
Each week,
the over-the-air radio broadcast is typically delayed 5-8 seconds in order to
match it to the over-the-air television broadcast. This allows fans watching
the game at home to turn down the volume on the television and listen to the
Gator Radio Network broadcast featuring Mick Hubert, Lee McGriff,
and Steve Babik. Due to this delay, fans listening to
the broadcast inside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium hear the play-by-play after the
action has already occurred.
The Live Sports Radio eliminates
this problem. The small earpiece unit allows fans to hear the Gator Radio
Network broadcast LIVE with NO DELAYS inside the stadium, and with a stronger
signal than what is often received by over-the-air radio, especially during
night games. The pre-game and post-game broadcasts can be heard with the Live Sports Radio unit as
well.

The Live Sports Radio unit also
has an FM mode, which allows the earpiece to be used as a normal over-the-air
FM radio.
WHERE TO BUY
The Live
Sports Radio earpiece units can be purchased at all Gator SportShop
locations in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. They will also be for sale at the Alltel
Wireless Gator FanFest outside Gate 2 of the
O’Connell Center (begins three hours prior to kickoff), and at a display tent
outside the north end of the stadium.
In
addition, these units can be purchased online at the Live Sports Radio website.
