The Gators were one of 12 teams that were able to complete the second round on Wednesday before play was officially suspended for the evening at 4:55 p.m. MT due to high winds. The remaining 12 teams completed the second round of play at 7 a.m. MT on Thursday. After the second round was officially in the books, Florida jumped to a tie for ninth, up four spots from the previous day.
Individual rankings were also affected, with each Lady Gator moving up in the standings. Heading into round three, redshirt junior Ornella Jouven (La Ciotat, France) and freshman Jessica Yadloczky (Casselberry, Fla.) were tied for 23rd place, both carding a 149 (+5). Moving up 13 slots overnight, senior Tiffany Chudy (Miramar, Fla.) carded a 9-over-par 153 through two. Freshman Hannah Yun (Bradenton, Fla.) and redshirt freshman Nicole Schachner (Libertyville, Ill.) both rose in the standings, tied for 91st and 98th, respectively.
Yadloczky led the Gators on day three finishing with a 2-over par 74. She currently owns a three-round score of 223 (75-74-74) and is tied for 15th with teammate Ornella Jouven. Yadloczky rebounded from a double bogey on the 11th hole with back-to-back birdies, collecting three total birdies on the afternoon.
Joining Yadloczky with a 74 on the day was Chudy. The senior collected nine pars and three birdies and currently holds a 228 (75-76-74) and owns a tie for 53rd. Jouven scored a 2-over 74 as the last player for the Gators to finish on Thursday night.
Yun also improved in the third round as she shot a 2-over-par 74 and has a three day total of 230 (73-83-74) to finish the round in a tie for 64th. Schachner shot a 13-over-par 85 and is tied for 115th place with a score of 243 (82-76-85).
Any players that did not finish play on Thursday will resume play at 9 A.M. ET on Friday. The fourth and final round will ensue on Friday with the bottom 12 teams teeing off in the morning and the top 12 teams playing the afternoon.
