Tickets for the Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT) second-round game that will be hosted by the University of Florida may be purchased beginning Thursday morning, March 20, at the Gator Ticket Office at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, or by calling 1-800-34-GATOR, ext. 6800 (in Fla. only).

Ticket office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. On game day, tickets will be available for sale at the main ticket office until 5 p.m., then at Gate 1 of the O'Connell Center beginning at 5 p.m. until halftime of the game.

All tickets are general admission seating with a cost of $5 for adults and $3 for senior citizens and youth ages 12 and under. UF students with a valid ID will be admitted FREE of charge.

Monday's game, which is scheduled to tip-off at 7 p.m., will feature Florida (18-13) against the winner of the first-round contest between Florida Gulf Coast (21-8) and South Florida (16-15) that will be played on Friday in Fort Myers.

Monday will be the first time the O'Connell Center has entertained a women's basketball postseason event since the 2000-01 season, when the Gators hosted the opening two rounds of the NCAA Tournament.

The only other time Florida has hosted a WNIT game was on March 21, 2000, when the Gators defeated Maryland, 77-57, in the quarterfinals, en route to an appearance in the championship game, where they lost to Wisconsin, 75-74, in Madison.

This is Florida’s fourth-ever appearance in the WNIT, also competing in the event in 1985 (when it was the NWIT), 2000 and 2005. The 2008 event marks the 14th time in the last 16 years the Gators have earned a postseason bid, with 11 NCAA Tournament berths to their resume.
