Monday October 29, 2007Men's Golf Defeats Coastal Carolina To Face UCLA In Semifinals At Collegiate Match Play
After the second round of play was suspended due to darkness late Sunday night, the ninth-seeded University of Florida men’s golf team finished the session with a win over Coastal Carolina, 3-2, Monday morning. The Gators will face (4) UCLA in the third round at approximately 11 a.m. EST.

Horschel took the lead from his first tee shot and never looked back, getting as far ahead as five holes, earning the win, 4 and 3. Bank also took the lead on his first hole, but lost it on the following, not getting it back until his back-nine. The freshman built up a four-hole lead on his nest six holes to win, 4 and 3.
Senior Tyler Brown (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) was the third win for the Orange and Blue, defeating Lindsay Renolds, 2 and 1. Brown tangled with Renolds through the first six holes of the match, but snagged the lead and never let go.
