Mike Smalley had a strong outing and Florida pounded out 15 hits for 10
runs in a 10-3 victory at McKethan Stadium. Florida (6-5) ended its two-
game losing streak, while Florida A&M dropped to 3-9 on the season.
Smalley (2-1) allowed just five hits over seven innings with eight
strikeouts, while five Florida players had two or more hits on the night.
Junior Jason Dill led the Gator attack with three hits and three RBI. He
also hit his fourth home run of the season.
Mark Kiger, Kurt Keene and Tim Olson each had tho hits on the night.
Damien Barton (1-2) took the loss for the Rattlers, allowing five runs on
five hits in 1.2 innings. He left the game in the second inning after
taking a line drive off his leg.
Florida scored all of its runs in the first five innings, building a 10-2
lead. Jeff Carodzo and Joey Simon combined to pitch the final two innings
