GAINESVILLE, Fla.
Women's Track & Field Headline
Petrick’s
honor extended the women’s streak of having an athlete named to the team to
three consecutive years.
Petrick,
a distance runner, is a Heath Education and Behavior major with a 3.99 grade
point average. A 2006 Southeastern Conference Honor Roll selection, Petrick set four personal-bests on the track, including the
mile (5:11.61) at the Diet Pepsi Invitational, the indoor 5,000m (17:54.50) at
the SEC Championships, the outdoor 5,000m (17:32.57) and the 10,000m (36:33.83)
at the Florida State Relays, where she earned victory. At the SEC Outdoor
Championships, Petrick helped the Gators take sixth
by scoring four points with a finish of fifth in the 10,000m.
