Knoxville, TN

For the second time this season, Tennessee defeated the Florida men's basketball team in overtime. Tennessee guard Tony Harris made two free throws with five seconds left in overtime to give the Volunteers a 76-73 win in Knoxville, Tenn., on Saturday.

Harris scored his team's final 11 points as Tennessee ended the first half with a 34-28 deficit. The Gators built a 48-34 second half lead, but Harris, who scored 26 points to lead all scorers, led the Vols on a 25-13 run to tie the game at 63 and send the contest into the extra period.

With 24 seconds to play in overtime, Tennessee center C.J. Black put back his missed shot to put the Vols ahead 74-73 before Harris iced the game with his free throws.

"When you're on the road like that, you have to make those plays to put yourself in a position to win the game", said Gator coach Billy Donovan. "I'm proud of the way we competed, the way we played and, hopefully, this could be a building block for us." The Gators were led in scoring by sophomore center Udonis Haslem's (pictured left) season-high 24 points.

The win puts Tennessee in the drivers seat in the SEC East. The Vols are 21-3 and 9-2 in the league. Florida falls to 18-5 and 7-3 in the conference.

The Gators play a at Arkansas Tuesday night at 9:00. The game will be televised on ESPN.
