Senior Bill Mrazek (Tallahassee, Fla.) has been named to the 2007 Southeastern Conference Men’s Swimming and Diving Community Service Team, the league office announced Friday.

Mrazek has dedicated numerous hours, especially around the 2006 holiday season, to visiting with pediatric care patients at Shands Medical Plaza as part of the Children’s Miracle Network. Aside from volunteering at Shands for the last two school years, Mrazek also participated in the 2005 Gainesville walk to “D’Feet ALS,” and is a two-year member of Florida’s “Homecoming Visit” program, which sends UF student-athletes to area schools in a mentoring capacity during Homecoming week.

A two-time All-American and a seven-time All-SEC honoree, Mrazek was named the SEC Freshman Swimmer of the Year in 2004. He ranks in the all-time UF top-10 in the 100 breast, 200 breast, 200-meter breast and 400 medley relay. Mrazek is a criminology and law major, and he earned SEC Academic Honor Roll recognition in 2006.

Mrazek and the rest of the Gators are currently competing at the SEC Championships in Lexington, Ky. Live results can be found oat www.ukathletics.com, as well as www.gatorzone.com.
