extremely happy with the way the guys dove today,”
Wilcox,
who established career postseason highs in all three diving disciplines at the
conference meet, moved from fourth in prelims to third overall on the strength
of a final-round dive that averaged scores of 7.5. He now owns five All-SEC
honors, three of which he earned in 2007.
Schmidt
was the only diver in the finals of the platform to improve by more than one
spot over his prelim position, moving from eighth to sixth. With his top-eight
finish, Schmidt collected his first All-SEC berth of the season, and the third of
his career. Schmidt has now garnered All-SEC recognition on the platform in
consecutive years, as he finished fourth in the event last season.
The
Gators currently stand second in the race for the 2007 SEC championship, owning
55 points. UF holds a six-point lead over third-place
