Cohen was named Strength and Conditioning Coordinator in February of 2012. He comes to UF from IMG Academies where he served as a Performance Specialist under current Florida Director of Strength and Conditioning Jeff Dillman. Cohen spent two years at IMG designing and assisting with the implementation of NFL Combine preparation programs and NFL preseason workouts. Cohen also learned under the direct tutelage of world renowned speed coach Loren Seagrave while at IMG.
Cohen served as a Strength and Conditioning Assistant at the University of Central Florida while he completed his undergraduate coursework. Cohen received his Bachelors of Education in Sports and Fitness in May of 2008.
Following time at UCF, Cohen completed an internship with the New York Jets before becoming a Football Strength and Conditioning Graduate Assistant at Iowa State University for one year.
Prior to IMG, Cohen spent one season as the Head Football Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Tennessee at Martin where he was responsible for the strength and condition program for over 90 Division I football student athletes. He also worked with the sports medicine staff to help fast track the players back to the playing field. During his time at UT-Martin, they had the lowest injury count in the past ten years.
The Rockledge, Fla. native currently resides in Gainesville with his wife, Heather.
