Florida A&M Post-Game Quotes
Assistant Coach Lori Goodart
“We started off slowly in the beginning of the season. Then we started to gel as a team and we went on a great run in conference. Our girls grew in maturity quite a bit. They saw the excitement and got the feeling of winning, and they learned to believe they could win. We had the feeling that we belonged here. We will build on this experience for next year.”
“Facing Florida and Lehigh, we knew we’d face some power pitchers. Today just really wasn’t our day. Give Lehigh a lot of credit because they’re a very good team and they wanted to win.”
SS/P Melissa Oliphant
“We had a great season and we played some great teams in this regional tournament. We are very grateful to be here. Next year, we are looking to do it again and dominate. We just have to stay positive.”
“The game is so fast. I wanted to make a play for my pitcher and I rushed the throw. It’s just important to stay up and support your teammates. We eventually got out of it. Stuff like that happens.”
P Amanda Reyes
“They are a good team. It’s been a long season and I’ve got a lot of innings on my arm. I did what I could to try and give the team a good shot. Melissa came in and pitched well.”
“I’m ready to come back next and compete. We’ll be ready next year.”
