Career Highlights: Hit a pinch-hit, walkoff grand slam to beat Baylor in the opening game of the 2014 Women’s College World Series, beginning the Gators’ drive to their first national championship.

 

As a Freshman (2014): Named to the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll…Appeared in 52 games (24 starts) during her freshman season as the Gators captured the first national championship in program history…Batted .268 with 20 runs scored, three doubles, two triples, three home runs and 14 RBI on the year…Was the team’s most prolific pinch-hitter, leading the squad with 21 pinch-hits at-bats and five pinch hits...Saw her first action as a pinch-runner in the season opener Feb. 6 at USF, scoring her fist career run during the game…Started at shortstop the following day against Illinois State at the USF Wilson-DeMarini Invitational, logging her first at-bat and first hit in Orange and Blue…Drove in her first runs Feb. 15 vs. Ohio State on Feb. 15 at the Easton Desert Classic in Las Vegas…Hit her first career home run the next morning in the Gators’ 15-2 (6 innings) win over Minnesota…Logged her first multi-hit game on March 2 vs. Radford at the Diamond 9 Citrus Classic, when she also stole a season-best two bases…Made 21 of her 24 starts during a 26-game stretch from March 2-April 12, during which time she led the Gators with two triples…Received her first postseason experience May 17 vs. Stetson during the NCAA Regional, when she knocked a pinch-hit RBI single as part of a seven-run sixth inning during the Gators’ record-setting 14-0 win…Sealed Florida’s 11-0 (5 innings) win in the opening game of the Women’s College World Series on May 29 vs. Baylor with a pinch-hit, walkoff grand slam.

 

High School / Travel Ball: A 2013 graduate of Hebron High School in Carrollton, Texas…Played travel ball with Team TFS Texas, coached by Monti VanBrunt…A NFCA 2013 High School First Team All-American at the utility position…Additionally a NFCA First Team All-South Central First Team pick…As a senior in 2013, batted .530 and turned in a .593 on-base percentage…Was named the Denton Record-Chronicle District co-MVP in 2013, First Team All-Area, Texas All-State Team…Holds single-season records at Hebron for hits (53), batting average (.530), RBI (44), triples (7), stolen bases (20) and runs scored (46)…Her junior season in 2012, Hebron was the Texas 5A Region I Finalist as Herndon had a breakout playoff performance, including a .481 batting clip for the Hawks…Picked up First-Team All-District 8-5A honors, was named to the Dallas Morning News First Team All-Area squad, along with First Team Class 5A All-State accolades after compiling a junior year batting average of .394 with four homers and 28 RBI…Was the 2012 Hebron High School MVP…Named the April 23, 2012 Vype Magazine Muscle Milk Player of the Week for Denton County…Additionally the Reader’s Choice Softball MVP (Denton County) for Vype Magazine…The May 14, 2012 Dallas Morning News Softball Player of the Week…Led Hebron to the 2011 Texas 5A Quarter Finals her sophomore season…The 2011 Hebron high School Most Improved Player…Picked up Second Team All-District 8-5A honors…Her freshman year in 2010, Hebron was the Texas 5A State Semifinalist…Has been a member of both the Art Club and Key Club at Hebron High School…Led Team TFS to the 16U ASA World Series Championship and was tabbed the team’s Most Valuable Player by Softball Today Magazine…Picked up the Team TFS Texas Yukiko Ueno Award in travel ball action as the team’s Pitcher of the Year.
