Career Highlights: Checked in at No. 2 all-time for a Gator freshman in fielding percentage (.996) and number six in putouts (223) following her first year as a catcher donning the Orange and Blue in 2013.

 

As a Sophomore (2014): Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll and the WCWS All-Tournament Team as the Gators won the program’s first national title in her second season…Appeared in 59 of Florida’s 67 games, with 48 starts…Batted .285 with three home runs and 24 RBI…Tied for the team lead (Stewart) with 14 doubles…Raised her batting average 140 points from her freshman campaign, making improvements in nearly every offensive category…Threw out 10 of 26 potential base-stealers, and committed just two errors in 307 chances behind the plate (no errors in 90 chances in SEC play; no miscues in 52 chances during the NCAA Tournament)…Hit .330 against nonconference opponents, leading the squad in doubles (10) in nonleague games…The Gators were 38-8 in her 46 starts behind the plate, raising her two-year record to 63-13…Bookended the season with her two best offensive months (.366, five doubles, two home runs, 13 RBI in February; .364/3/1/4 in May/June)…Had a career-high three hits, including two doubles, in the second game of the year Feb. 7 vs. Illinois State at the USF Wilson-DeMarini Tournament in Tampa, beginning a personal-best 10-game hitting streak……Tied a personal best with three RBI the following day against No. 4 Michigan, smacking a three-run double with two outs in the seventh inning to start a four-run rally that tied the game and set up an extra-innings victory for the Gators…Slugged her first two career home runs against Seattle and Hawaii during a Valentine’s Day doubleheader at the Easton Desert Classic in Las Vegas...Went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI in the home opener Feb. 19 vs. Jacksonville...Doubled twice against Auburn on April 4, plating two runs in the sixth inning to provide the game-winning RBI in Florida’s 4-2 victory…Had two hits in the Orange and Blue’s 17-1 win over in-state rival USF on April 23, including an RBI single during an 11-run second inning and a run-scoring double in the third…Tied a personal best with three hits in the first game of the Super Regional against Washington on May 24; her RBI single in the fourth inning produced the critical eighth run in Florida’s 9-0 mercy-rule victory…Homered to straightaway center field off Alabama All-American Jaclyn Traina in Game 1 of the WCWS Championship Series June 2 in Oklahoma City, scoring the game’s first run and setting the tone for the Gator offense in a 5-0 Florida win.

 

As a Freshman (2013): Named to the SEC Freshman Academic Honor Roll her first season as a Gator…Played in 52 of Florida’s 67 games her freshman season, including 30 starts at catcher for the Orange and Blue, helping the Gators to the 2013 SEC regular season and tournament championships and a trip to UF’s fifth WCWS…Had a season-best performance at the plate against Savannah State in the 2013 Lipton Invitational, hosted by the Gators, where she turned in a 2-for-3 outing – including two extra-base hits (2B & 3B), three RBI and two runs scored…Strung together a season-best five-game hit streak from Feb. 15-Feb. 21, including a span of four straight games with doubles…Was a team captain for UF as just a freshman…Was one of seven Gators to notch a triple during the 2013 season, contributing to a new single-season school record 22…Gunned down a Florida-best nine runners on the base paths her freshman campaign…The Gators were 25-5 with Munro behind the plate…Also reached base in season-best seven straight games…Five of her eight hits in 2013 were extra-base hits…Drew a season-best two walks at South Carolina in the opening game of Florida’s series with the Gamecocks…Behind the plate had four games with double-digit putouts, including a season-best 13 in UF’s 12-inning affair with Missouri at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic in Palm Springs…Had 11 putouts each against Mount St. Mary’s and Georgia and 10 against Longwood…Finished her freshman season with a .145 clip, eight hits, four doubles, a triple, six RBI, 10 runs scored and was 1-for-2 in stolen bases to go along with her .996 fielding percentage.

 

High School / Travel Ball: A 2012 graduate of Brea Olinda High School… ESPN’s No. 42 recruit on the 2012 ESPN 100 and the No. 7 catcher nationally in the class of 2012…Played travel ball with SoCal Athletics 18U, coached by Bruce Richardson…Helped lead the As to the Premier Girls Fastpitch National Championship Titles in 2010, 2011 and 2012…Named a 2012 MaxPreps Southern Section All-League First Team pick…An Academic Scholar-Athlete in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012…A First-Team All-Century League and First-Team All-CIF selection in 2011…Named Second-Team All-Century League in 2009 and 2010 and Second-Team All-County in 2010…The Lion’s Club Student of the Month and Girl’s League Girl of the Month in September 2011…Earned the Golden Glove Award in 2009 and 2011 and the Most Valuable Offense Award in 2010.
