Career Highlights: Named to the 2011 USA Softball Women’s Junior National Team…Helped Team USA to the Gold Medal at the IX ISF Junior Women’s World Championship in December 2011 in Cape Town, South Africa.

 

As a Junior (2014): Named to the 2014 SEC Academic Honor Roll…Appeared in 43 games, making five starts and primarily seeing action as a pinch-runner and a defensive replacement…scored 18 runs with a perfect 7-for-7 mark on stolen-base attempts…Scored two runs during the opening weekend in Tampa, three the next weekend at the Easton Desert Classic in Las Vegas and two at the Diamond 9 Citrus Classic in Orlando…Scored a run on March 16 at LSU that helped to clinch the victory for the Gators in their first SEC road series...Earned her greatest playing time April 11 vs. Florida A&M, when she started in left field and when 1-for-3, knocking her first hit of the year and adding a stolen base…Entered as a pinch-hitter on May 17 vs. Stetson during the NCAA Regional, lacing an RBI single for the Gators’ 10th run in their record-setting 14-0 win over the Hatters…Scored a run in Florida’s 11-0 win over Baylor to open the WCWS. 

 

As a Sophomore (2013): Played in 51 games as a sophomore for the Gators, including 21 starts between left field and second base…Batted .257 on the season with 19 hits, including six homers…Knocked in 21 RBI, drew 11 walks and was a perfect 9-for-9 on the base paths her second year on campus as the Gators captured the 2013 SEC regular season and tournament titles and advanced to their fifth WCWS…Had the game-winning RBI double to walk the Gators off against Charleston Southern in extras in UF’s Lipton Invitational Feb. 17…Had a total of four game-winning RBI for UF in 2013 including her first grand slam as a Gator in UF’s April 6 tilt with Mississippi State, one of Florida’s 11 during the season…Led the Gators in the series at Ole Miss, batting 4-for-9 throughout the weekend with a .444 clip at the plate…Turned in two multiple-hit games and five multiple-RBI performances throughout the season…Also had a career-best five-game hit streak from Feb. 16-21 starting at the Lipton Invitational and continuing to the start of the Cathedral City Classic in Palm Springs against Loyola Marymount…Reached base in a season-best six straight games…Her multiple-RBI games came against Western Carolina (3), Loyola Marymount (2), FAMU (2), Ole Miss (2) and Mississippi State (4)…Walked a season-best and career tying two times against UCF and had a career-best two stolen bases against UNC Wilmington…Was perfect at the plate against Western Carolina, Presbyterian and Georgia…Batted .250 for the Gators with a stolen base in the postseason (2-for-8), including SEC and NCAA Tournament play.

 

As a Freshman (2012): A 2012 SEC All-Freshman Team selection in the outfield…Played in 55 of UF’s games her freshman season with 38 starts, primarily splitting time between outfield and second base…Finished the season with a .209 batting clip, 18 hits, including a triple and homer…Swiped two bases her freshman season and tallied two multiple hit games…Compiled a season-best three-game hit streak from April 24 to April 29, where she had one hit apiece in the second game of a doubleheader with LSU and the first and second games of Florida’s series with Kentucky…Her two multi-hit games were Florida’s season-opener versus Long Island, when she went 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI, a walk and stolen base and the Gators’ third win over Michigan State Feb. 19 when Damico was 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI…Knocked in the game-winning RBI from the first triple of her Gator career in the first game of SEC-opening doubleheader with Mississippi State, which counted as UF’s only run in the 1-0 victory…Strung together an eight-game reached-base streak from April 15 to May 4, including five games with hits, two games with a hit-by-pitch (April 24 against LSU and May 4 vs. Alabama) and one game with a walk (FIU April 20)…Her hit-by-pitch and speed in the bottom of the eighth against LSU proved to be critical, as Damico scored the game-winning run from a Michelle Moultrie double to give Florida a 2-1 victory in the first game of the double dip…Smashed her first homer as a Gator in UF’s victory over FIU April 21…Tied for third on the team in hit-by-pitches with five on the season…Had a season-best five putouts against USF Feb. 12 at second base and grabbed  a season-best three assists three times versus USF 3/28, FGCU 5/18 and USF 5/20…Helped turn a double play March 17 versus South Carolina…Had two bunt singles for the Orange and Blue her freshman season and ranked second for UF with a .667 average when bunting.

 

High School / Travel Ball: The 2010 Missouri Gatorade Softball Player of the Year as a junior…Played in the 2011 Under Armour All-America game after amassing a .605 batting clip, 42 RBI and six homers her senior season…Drew 15 walks and never struck out her senior year at Pacific en route to 2010-11 Four Rivers Conference Player of the Year honors to go with Class 4 All-State accolades…Competed with the St. Louis Chaos travel club…Holds single season records in at bats, hits, batting average, home runs, runs, singles, doubles and triples…Tallied 313 at bats, 165 hits, a .524 batting average, 118 RBI, 139 runs, 38 stolen bases, 36 doubles, 13 triples, 87 singles and 29 home runs in her high school career…Holds the Missouri single-season home run record (15), set her junior season when she had 40 RBI to go with a .539 batting clip…In addition to 2011, played in the ESPN RISE Under Armour All-America Softball Games in both 2009 and 2010…Named an All-Conference selection each year of her high school career, was the conference Player of the Year in 2009 and 2010, an All-District selection in 2008, 2009 and 2010 and collected All-Region and All-State honors in both 2009 and 2010…A three-sport athlete at Pacific High School, Damico played varsity basketball and was a first team All-Conference track selection, as well as a two-time state qualifier in the 4x100 and 4x200 relays…A member of the high school honor roll.
