As a Junior (2002): Started 59 of 63 games, seeing time at the catcher and designated player position ... Five home runs are second-most on the team ... Hit two home runs against Northwestern State 2/24 ... Had season-high five-game hitting streak from 3/9-3/17, going 6-for-15 including a home run ... Went 4-for-10 and registered a hit in every game of three-game series vs. Kentucky 3/16-3-17 ... Registered a hit in every game of the Gator Invitational ... Multiple hits in six games ... Went 4-for-7 with two RBI in the Gators' four games vs. No.9 Washington ... Multiple RBI in four games ... Season-high three RBI vs. No.23 Georgia 4/14 and had four RBI in the three-game series ... As a Sophomore (2001): Split time at catcher (26 games) and designated player (37 games) ... third on team with 55 hits and 30 RBI ... was one of just two players to start all 65 games ... had eight, two-hit games, one three hit game and one school-record, five-hit game ... set school single-game record with five hits at Kentucky March 17 ... tied then-personal bests with three hits and three RBI vs. Georgia Southern ... named the MVP of that tournament ... had a 10-game hit streak (3/14-3/23, .500, 17-for-34, 5 R, 11 RBI, 3 2B, 1 HR) ... hit UF's first homer of the year vs. Hofstra at home.

As a Freshman (2000): Sat out first part of season due to a fractured finger, but was a regular contributor after March 7 ... shared time starting as the designated player, also had four starts at catcher ... batted .125 in 30 games played ... recorded first career home run against No. 17 USC March 18 ... posted one, three-hit game and two multiple RBI games.

High School: A graduate of Carmel High School ... named All-Mid Indiana Conference and first-team All-Hamilton County ... was a Miss Softball candidate ... named first-team All-District and to the Indiana Super team ... once went 4-for-4 with two home runs in a game ... team was state runner- up in 1997 after an undefeated regular season ... also earned letters in volleyball and basketball.

Personal: Born July 15, 1981, in Northridge, Calif. ... full name is Breanne Lyn Berger ... parents are Andy and Kim Berger ... sister, Katy, transferred to Florida for softball ...younger brother Garrett, a pitcher, was the Florida Marlins first pick in 2001 and went 60th overall in the second round ... exercise science major ... career goal is personal training ... also considered New Mexico State and LSU ... chose Florida because of the pretty campus and nice weather.
