Victor Campbell, Associate Head Coach
Vic Campbell, 54, enters his 21st season in 2015 with the University of Florida soccer program. Campbell was elevated to Associate Head Coach in the spring of 2003 after serving as an assistant coach for the previous eight seasons.
As a member of the Gator staff, Campbell works primarily with the backline players, while also assisting in recruiting, workout planning and opponent scouting.
Prior to arriving at UF, Campbell served as an assistant under current Old Dominion Head Coach Joe Pereira for seven seasons at Methodist College (1988-94).
As a student at Methodist from 1981-85, Campbell was named the school's 1985 Outstanding Male Senior Athlete after lettering in tennis for three years and in soccer for four, a remarkable achievement considering he did not begin playing soccer until he was 18 years old.
After graduating from Methodist in 1985 with bachelor's degrees in business administration and accounting, Campbell worked full-time as a Certified Public Accountant in Fayetteville, N.C. In addition to working as a CPA until 1994, Campbell spent two years volunteering as a coach on the Methodist staff before becoming Coach Pereira's top assistant in 1988.
Campbell, who has been an assistant coach for the South Region Olympic Development team, also served as a staff coach for the 1993 and 1994 North Carolina Olympic Development state teams. He is a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
Prior to attending Methodist College, Campbell, the native of Seoul, South Korea, lived in Wahiawa, Hawaii, for several years before graduating from Ft. Campbell High School in Kentucky. He and his wife, Kerri, were married in April of 2001. Ty Landon joined the family on Nov. 8, 2002, surprising Dad who was with the Gator soccer team at the Southeastern Conference Tournament. Elyse Michele joined the family on May 17, 2005.
