How to participate

The roar of the crowd, the intensity of the players on the field, the unmistakable notes to “Thunderstruck” before every kick off – there’s no question that THE SWAMP is an incredible place to be.  Alberta wants to see YOU living life in the Swamp! Send a picture of you and your friends cheering on the Gators in the Swamp, and you could win a $50 gift card for online merchandise through the Gator Locker Room, official merchandise store of Florida Athletics! Here’s how:

• Like the Rowdy Reptiles Facebook page.
• Send the Rowdy Reptiles Facebook page a message of your picture* BY SUNDAY, OCTOBER 21 at 11:59 p.m.  Please include your name, e-mail address and whether or not you would like your name shared in the caption of the photo in the message for your picture to be considered.  PICTURES WITH ALCOHOL, INAPPOPRIATE GESTURES, CURRENT UF STUDENT-ATHLETES OR POTENTIAL UF STUDENT-ATHLETES WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR SUBMISSION. Furthermore, current UF student-athletes and potential UF student-athletes are not eligible to participate in the contest in any way.
• Alberta will post the appropriate pictures to her Instagram account (username: GZAlberta) and share with Facebook into an album on the Rowdy Reptiles page titled “Live Life in the Swamp.”  The pictures will include the name of the person who submitted the picture (unless requested in the Facebook message that the name not be shared), and the link to the photo on Alberta’s Instagram.
• Feel free to share the image or album with friends! The photo with the most “likes” ON INSTAGRAM (Facebook likes will not count) will win!
• *By submitting your picture, you are granting permission for the University Athletic Association, Inc. to repost your picture to the above discussed social media channels.

ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED FROM THURSDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2012 AT 12:00 PM (ET) UNTIL SUNDAY, OCTOBER 21 AT 11:59 PM (ET). ALL THE PICTURES WILL BE POSTED TO ALBERTA’S INSTAGRAM AND THE ROWDY REPTILES FACEBOOK PAGE AT 6 PM (ET) ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 19. VOTING WILL TAKE PLACE FROM MONDAY, OCTOBER 22 AT 12:00 PM (ET) TO THURSDAY, OCTOBER 25 AT 12:00 PM (ET).

How to vote
Monday, October 22 at 12:00 PM (ET) until Thursday, October 25 at 12:00 PM (ET)]

From a desktop computer:

1. Like the Rowdy Reptiles Facebook page.
2. Click on the “Live Life in the Swamp” album.
3. Click on the picture you’d like to vote for beginning Monday, October.
4. Click the Instagram HTML link in the caption of the photo.
5. Click the HEART at the top right of the photo, and you’ve voted!

From a smart phone:

1. Follow “GZAlberta” on Instagram.
2. Look through the pictures for the one you’d like to vote for.
3. Tap the photo twice to “like” the photo OR click the HEART, and you’ve voted!
