Career Development

The Career Development component of the Office of Student Life is designed to assist all student-athletes with their career and life planning. Student-athletes can explore personal interest inventories and need assessments while gaining valuable leadership skills and interview techniques to prepare for their career after athletics.

The Office of Student Life employs a full-time Assistant Coordinator of Career Development, who is responsible for addressing student-athlete career development needs to better prepare them for the transition from college to the workforce. The OSL also works in collaboration with the Career Resource Center (CRC) to provide student-athletes with the most current career related information and services.

Between the OSL’s Assistant Coordinator of Career Development and the CRC, services provided include career workshops, resume workshops, cover letter and personal statement assistance, on-campus interviewing, cooperative educational work experience, job shadowing experiences, assistance with career decision-making, job and internship search assistance and summer employment.
