Chas Henry kicked a 37-yard field goal that ended the first overtime game in the storied Florida-Georgia series with a 34-31 victory for the Gators.
Bulldogs quarterback Aaron Murray’s third interception of the game was made by safety Will Hill and set up Henry’s game-winner, putting an end to a UF three-game losing streak that was the longest of Urban Meyer’s coaching career.
"Why was it so important?" Meyer said. "Because we got our brains kicked in the last three weeks [vs. Alabama, LSU and Mississippi State] and we've got to get the ship righted. We needed that. My family needed that. Everybody needed that. A bunch of families in there needed it. That was a good win. Awful grateful.”
Trey Burton had 110 yards (and two touchdowns) of UF's 231 rushing yards and the Gators defense picked off Murray three times.
