Louis Robinson Jr.
  • Assistant Coach

Louis Robinson Jr. joins the Florida staff this year, bringing years of coaching experience from the club and collegiate level to the Gator program.

Robinson came to UF after serving as the owner and head coach of Midwest Gymnastics, an organization he started in 1988 in Dublin, Ohio. At Midwest Gymnastics, Robinson coached 72 national qualifiers, six national champions, five Junior Olympic national team members and had 14 of his gymnasts receive NCAA Division I scholarships. Over the past 13 years, Robinson has been a regional clinician at numerous Region 5 camps for level 8-elite gymnasts. Prior to Midwest Gymnastics, Robinson served as a gymnastics coach at Columbus Gymnastics Academy from 1979-1988.

In addition, Robinson served as a volunteer assistant coach at The Ohio State University since 2001. His primary responsibility with the Ohio State women's team was coaching the uneven bars.

Robinson attended The Ohio State University from 1979-December 1983 and pursued a degree in business management and human resources. He was also a member of OSU's 1982-83 national champion cheerleading squad.

He and his wife Carol have two sons, Jordan (7) and Cory (4).
