AS A SENIOR (2001)- Reliable competitor for the Gators on vault, balance beam and floor exercise...fell on her balance beam routine at Georgia, marking her first fall since Feb. 20, 1999 at UCLA...she had strung together 51 "hit" routines since that date up until the final event for UF at the UGA-UF dual... set collegiate-best vault mark of 9.925 at the Subway Shamrock Showdown to claim fourth vault title of season...won three consecutive vault titles...turned in a 4.0 GPA for the 2000-01 academic year...University of Florida's representative for the Rhodes Scholar competition...named to the Verizon Academic All-America Fall/Winter At-Large second team...member of the Academic All-Southeastern Conference Honor Roll for third consecutive season...recipient of a 2001 NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarship... member of the NACGC Scholastic All-America team for 2001...finalist for the H. Boyd McWhorter SEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award ($10,000 scholarship)..named Outstanding Student Leader for the spring, 2001 UF graduating class.

AS A JUNIOR (2000)- Competed on vault, balance beam and floor exercise in every meet...did not record a fall in her 36 routines in 2000...won the vault competition at Auburn (9.75) and at Kentucky triangular (9.875)...also claimed The Subway Challenge balance beam title (9.80)...set or matches collegiate-best marks of 9.90 on each of the three events she competes...opened the 2000 season by tying for second in the Super Six Challenge floor competition with a collegiate-best 9.90...matched collegiate-best marks of 9.90 at Michigan triangular, taking third in the vault and second in the beam...turned in a total of 12 top-three individual event finishes...led the team on vault at the SEC Championships with a 9.825...fourth on vault (9.85) and fifth on beam (9.85) at NCAA Region V Championships...posted a 4.0 GPA in five of her seven semesters at UF...second consecutive year on the SEC All-Academic Honor Roll... member of the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches Scholastic All-America team for 2000...selected to attend NCAA Leadership Conference in May.

AS A SOPHOMORE (1999) -Competed in vault, beam and floor...turned in season-best floor exercise mark of 9.85 in NCAA Championships' competition...posted season-best balance beam mark of 9.825 at the NCAA Championships...posted beam score of 9.725 at Utah to lead UF in the event...earned season-best vault mark of 9.75 three times - at Penn State, vs. Alabama and at NCAA Region II Championships...member of Academic All-SEC Honor Roll.

AS A FRESHMAN (1998) -Fifth in the NCAA Southeast Region beam competition with a collegiate-best mark of 9.90...competed in every floor lineup for the Gators in 1998...runner-up in the Tiger Invitational vault competition, successfully landing a Yurchenko layout with a half twist vault in only the second time competing the vault, earning a 9.90...posted beam mark of 9.85 in SEC Championships competition...earned season-best floor exercise mark of 9.825 at the SunTrust Night, the Gatorade SEC Showcase and the SEC Championships...took second in the SunTrust Night floor competition...earned a perfect 4.0 GPA for the 1997-98 academic year...member of the NACGC Scholastic All-America team for 1998.

PRIOR TO FLORIDA - Finished 27th in the all-around at the 1997 Junior Olympic National Championships in Orlando, Fla...member of Level 10 State championship team from 1995-97...team claimed 1996 Sweetheart Invitational championship...competed at the Elite level three years...considers balance beam and floor exercise as best events...member of the Colorado Aerials club team and coached by Tom Forster, Kathy Minihan, Gary Gonzales and Michelle Dussere-Ferrell.

PERSONAL - Born Dec. 26, 1978 in Chandler, Ariz....daughter of Nila and Steve Chiabotti...valedictorian of Palmer High School's class of 1997...International Baccalaureate Diploma recipient...National Honor Society member...also involved in Habitat for Humanity...future ambitions include the Peace Corps... president of UF's 2000-2001 Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
