AS A JUNIOR (1996) - Competed in floor exercise three times and vault twice for the Gators before tearing the anterior cruciate ligament of the left knee during practice on Feb. 6th...underwent surgery on Feb. 21 to repair the damage...retired from gymnastics after 1996 season.
AS A SOPHOMORE (1995) - Competed as a vaulter in every meet, resetting collegiate-best mark four times in 1995...set collegiate-high vault mark of 9.90 at the NCAA Southeast Region Championships...earned a spot in the SunBank Senior Night floor exercise lineup, posting a collegiate-best mark of 9.75...took third in the Penn State dual vault competition with a then-collegiate best mark of 9.80...rejoined the Gator competitive lineup in 1995 after sitting out most of the 1994 campaign recovering from knee surgery.
AS A FRESHMAN (1994) - Earned a spot in the Florida lineup for first three meets of season, posting a season-best vault mark of 9.625 against Georgia...tore the anterior cruciate ligament of left knee while practicing floor exercise routine on Jan. 28th and sat out remainder of season recovering from surgery.
PRIOR TO FLORIDA - 1989 International (Reno, Nev.) uneven bars champion (9.65)...all-around champion at 1988 Cats Christmas Classic....took second in bars and floor plus third in all-around at 1992 Carolinas International Invitational...coached by Byron Knox and Louis Rodriquez at CATS (Cheshire Acrobatic Training School) Club team.
