The 2010-11 season for the Florida women's tennis team unfolded like a script from a Hollywood movie.
Only the final dramatic scene took place roughly 300 miles to the North of Tinseltown in Stanford, Calif., where Lauren Embree rallied from a 4-0 deficit in the third set, forced a tiebreaker, where she overcame a 2-0 hole, earned an epic 5-7, 6-3, 7-6 (8-6) victory and provided the clinching 4-3 win against top-seeded Stanford and helped the Gators win the 2011 NCAA Championship, the program's fifth national team title.
All seven Gators who contributed during the 2011 championship run return for the 2011-12 season, including Embree, lone senior Joanna Mather and 2011 SEC Player of the Year Allie Will.
