SOPHOMORE YEAR (2012-13) – Mitchell redshirted her sophomore season and did not compete in any collegiate events for UF.

AT UCF - Selected as the Conference USA Freshman of the Year and earned a spot on the All-C-USA Second Team... Competed in all 11 events and posted six top-10 finishes... Had a 75.0 stroke average... Shot a 218 (+2) at the UCF Challenge to finish tied for 9th and went 3-under 69 in the second round to help the Knights to the lowest round in school history (282)... Shot a 234 (+18) to finish tied for 10th place at the Central District Invitational... Finished tied for 31st at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate...Shot a 231 (+21) at the SunTrust Gator Women's Invitational and tied for 55th...Tied for 3rd at the Knights and Pirates Invitational after carding 2-over 218... Tied for 3rd at the Conference USA Championship at 221 (+5)... Participated in the NCAA East Regional.

In the fall, Mitchell shot a 233 (+17) at the Alamo Invitational to finish tied for 57th...Named C-USA women's golfer of the week after her third consecutive top-20 finish and 2nd place overall finish at the Lady Northern Invitational...Claimed second-consecutive top-20 finish at the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational...Recorded the Knights' first top-20 finish of the fall 2011 season during the Dale McNamara Invitational where she finished the tournament 8 over par.

AMATUER COMPETITION - Named all-district, all-region, and all-state in 2007-09 at high school in Tennessee...As a senior at Fernandina Beach H.S., she finished 1st in district championship, 2nd at region championship, and 25th at Floida State 2A Championship.

PERSONAL – Katie is the daughter of Mitch and Dede Mitchell and has two brothers, Tripp (17) and Will (15). Mitchell graduated from Fernandina Beach High School with honors and was a member of the National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Smoky Mountain Youth Leadership.
