Volunteer Assistant Golf Coach
Lester Bouchard joins the UF coaching staff as the volunteer assistant coach.
Bouchard, who earned his master's degree in Sport Psychology at the University of Florida in 1997, is studying to receive his Ph.D. in Sport Psychology at UF.
Bouchard received his associate degree of arts in business management and administration in 1993 his associate of arts in liberal arts in 1994 from Daytona Beach Community College. In 1997, he earned his bachelor of science in psychology from Florida State University. He came to Gainesville, Fla. in 1997 and has been a Gator ever since.
During his time at Florida, Bouchard has worked individually with golfers as a coach and as a sport psychologist. His work as a sport psychologist includes a range of activities including dealing with performance anxiety and mind training, to coaching on the mechanics of the golf swing.
"We're looking forward to having Lester working with us this season. He brings a lot of knowledge with him," said head coach Buddy Alexander.
