A four-year letterman at Gainesville High School under Coach Ryan Smith…Helped lead the Hurricanes to a pair of District titles…A two-time first-team all-state and all-area honoree…Named the Offensive Player of the Year by the Gainesville Sun…Also competed for the baseball team, garnering first and second-team all-state honors…Father Mark McGriff was a former letterwinner for the Gators, as were relatives Travis, Lee, Perry and Jack McGriff.
