What they’re saying…

(After the Jacksonville State win): “I felt like I played all right, managed the game well. We came out with the win, that’s all that matters to me.” (11/18/12)
Jacoby Brissett, UF quarterback

“He’s got good vision of the field. He’s got good pocket awareness and understands coverages and sees the things he that he needs to see.” (11/14/12)
Brent Pease, UF offensive coordinator

"What I've seen over a year and a half that we've been here together is a guy has prepared himself well, is very talented. He's going to have the opportunities to make good choices and decisions on the field, which he'll do. I've got a lot of confidence in him. I don't think it's just any one day that you say this gives you confidence. I think it's over a period of time that builds confidence with him." (11/13/12)
Will Muschamp, UF Head Coach

(On his performance against Louisiana): “Credit to Jacoby getting in there and making the throws. Making the huge throw down to Jordan in the middle there. I have all the confidence in him. I think he did a fantastic job.” (11/11/12)
Will Muschamp, UF Head Coach

(On his performance against Louisiana): "That's what you dream about, no matter who it's against. I had to make sure when I got my chance that I didn't make a fool of myself. I came out and did what I had to do." (11/11/12)
Jacoby Brissett, UF quarterback

(On his performance against Louisiana): "It's difficult to come in during the middle of a series for a quarterback. I think he did a fantastic job." (11/11/12)
Will Muschamp, UF Head Coach

"I want a statue. That's what's pushing me." (8/13/12)
Jacoby Brissett, UF quarterback

“He’s a calm guy. He’s slowly building confidence with us all and is taking the lead as a young quarterback.” (11/8/11)

Kyle Koehne, UF offensive tackle

“These young guys are maturing faster than usual because of these tough times. You learn from these times. Just like Jacoby [Brissett], [Jeff Driskel is] growing up and maturing each week. [...] They’re going to have a good battle come springtime.” (11/7/11)

John Brantley, former UF quarterback

“I think they both (Jeff Driskel and Jacoby Brissett) have natural leadership ability because of their presence. They are both competitive, very well-liked on the team, and very well-respected on the team for freshmen, which is hard. It’s hard at that age to have the command and the respect and the presence, and I think both of those guys have that. They have the “it” factor, in my opinion. They have a lot of the intangibles that you look for at that position. They’re certainly guys that I’m very pleased with, and I think the future is bright as far as those two young men are concerned.” (10/18/11)

Will Muschamp, UF Head Coach

“I have to give him props. He played really really well. He’s a really good runner and a really good athlete. He did really well. I’m really proud of him. The team has his back and he’s just going to get better every week.” (10/8/11)

Trey Burton, UF running back, LSU post-game

"I see a lot of good things out of Jacoby. He's got a real strong arm and he's really athletic as well. I think he could be a really good player." (10/5/11)

Jordan Reed, UF tight end

“(He is) just being more comfortable and being more sure of himself and learning the plays and getting in a rhythm and setting his feet, making progressions, making throws and just being out there practicing. (He is) just a poised quarterback. He makes great decisions in practice. He's making tremendous strides, and he's a good quarterback." (10/5/11)

Frankie Hammond, Jr., UF wide receiver

“They’re both (Jeff Driskell and Jacoby Brissett) working and getting better. I see a lot of potential in both of them. They each have mobility. They’re getting better. Both of them have mobility, nice arms and can throw the ball deep – both of them are going to be good players.” (8/19/11)

Deonte Thompson, former UF wide receiver

“They're (the backup quarterbacks) doing real good. Jacoby has picked up on the offense real quick. Just like the receivers and the running backs and the offensive line, everyone is getting better every day.” (8/12/11)

John Brantley, former UF quarterback

“Jacoby is very bright. We’re very pleased with where he is. He has a certain command about him. He’s very well-respected by his teammates. He’s an outstanding athlete, but he can really throw the football.” (8/8/11)

Will Muschamp, UF Head Coach
