CAREER: Played in 32 games as a Gator, with 20 starts…Recorded 44 tackles with 17 solo and 27 assisted, including 7.0 tackles for loss, a pass deflection and a fumble recovery.

 

2009: Saw action in 12 of UF’s 14 games, only missing FIU and the 2010 Allstate Sugar Bowl versus Cincinnati, and started eight contests…Notched 19 tackles his redshirt junior season, including six solo and 13 assisted…Also grabbed 2.0 tackles for loss and one pass deflection…Collected three tackles, including half a tackle for loss against Alabama, in the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta…Grabbed a solo tackle in UF’s, 37-10, winning efforts over Florida State Nov. 28…Secured the start at DT in UF’s win over South Carolina in Columbia…Helped UF to a win over Vanderbilt, collecting one tackle in the 27-3 victory…Grabbed two tackles in UF’s 41-17 win over Georgia in Jacksonville…Had an impressive game against Mississippi State on the road, collecting three tackles, including one for a loss of two yards, and one QB hurry in the 29-19 win…Came up with one tackle and a pass break-up as the starter at defensive tackle against Arkansas on Homecoming…Started at LSU and collected a career-high four tackles in the victory over the Tigers…Made his first start of the season at defensive tackle in UF’s win over Kentucky in Lexington…Came up with one tackle in UF’s victory over Tennessee in the SEC opener at home…Rallied for three tackles, including half a tackle for a loss of two yards, against Charleston Southern in the first game of the 2009 season.

 

2008: Played in all 14 games during the season, starting 12 contests, including the 2008 SEC and BCS Championship Games…Recorded 21 tackles, including eight solo and 13 assisted…Rallied for four tackles for loss, and one fumble recovery…His 21 tackles in 2008 were five times his season total (4) in 2007…Had an outstanding game against Georgia, recording his first career fumble recovery and taking it downfield 20 yards to set up a Florida score…Graded out a champion against LSU and Miami.

 

2007: Contributed in a reserve role on the defensive line as a redshirt freshman…Played in six games (Western Kentucky, Tennessee, Ole Miss, LSU, Kentucky and Georgia) and did not see action in the final five games of the season due to a high left ankle sprain…Registered four tackles, three solo and one assisted, in his first year and had one tackle for a loss of a yard against Western Kentucky in his first career action…Posted a career-high two tackles at Kentucky.

 

2006: Was chosen as the Offensive Scout Team Player of the Week in helping the Gators prepare for Alabama…Dressed for the Gators’ first two games but did not see action.

 

PREP: Ranked in the top-50 of the 2006 Rivals.com Florida Top 100 list…Rated as the No. 26 defensive line prospect according to Rivals.com…Suffered an injury during his senior season that forced him to miss game action for several weeks…Four-year starter on both the offensive and defensive lines at Southeast High School…Named second-team all-state as a junior…Chose Florida over Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU and Miami (Fla.).
