What they’re saying…

“The coaches are really on me as far as being a leader and a productive player. They believe I can be…Now I'm just trying to show Gator fans that I'm here to produce.” (8/10/12)

Earl Okine, UF defensive lineman

"He's made a lot of progress. He's going to help our football team. He's a big athlete. He's smart - we've just got to keep accelerating his learning curve and push him through some mental barriers when he's tired. He's going to add a lot to our team at the point of attack. He'll also do some things in short yardage and goal line situations." (8/21/10)

Brian White, UF Running Backs Coach

“He’s a great guy. He’s doing well in school, and he’s got to smile a little bit more in the weight room.  I love Earl. He’s got a great mom and dad here in town. He’s a big dude. Watch him in the next few years.” (2/7/08)
Urban Meyer, former UF Head Coach

“Earl has great burst off the ball and the longest wingspan I have ever seen. He can stand in the middle of your car and touch the end of the hood and trunk. He has those long arms. He was able to use leverage and he was quick. He can stick his foot in the ground and change directions better than anyone I’ve seen at this level.” (1/6/08)

Kevin Sullivan, North Head Coach at the Florida Athletic Coaches Association North-South Game

“He’s a real serious pass rusher with lots of range. He runs well.”

Eddy Moore, former Gainesville High School Head Coach
