CAREER: A true sophomore who enrolled at
2008: Earned a spot on the College
Football News All-Freshman first team...Named to the Freshman All-SEC team by
the league’s coaches...Became just the second true freshman in school history
to start at cornerback on opening day...Notched five tackles in the BCS
National Championship Game against Oklahoma...Collected the third interception of
his career and the second in as many games against FSU...Made his second-career
pick and returned it 16 yards in the Gators’ victory over The
Citadel...Collected a career-high nine tackles against LSU, including his first
career sack for a loss of 12 yards...Forced a fumble on Tennessee’s first drive
that led to a Florida field goal...Also intercepted a pass in the end zone to
prevent Tennessee from scoring as the first half came to a close...Made his
Gator debut as the starter at cornerback on opening day against Hawaii,
