CAREER: A true sophomore who enrolled at Florida in January of 2008 and started 12 games at cornerback for the Gators.

 

2008: Earned a spot on the College Football News All-Freshman first team...Named to the Freshman All-SEC team by the league’s coaches...Became just the second true freshman in school history to start at cornerback on opening day...Notched five tackles in the BCS National Championship Game against Oklahoma...Collected the third interception of his career and the second in as many games against FSU...Made his second-career pick and returned it 16 yards in the Gators’ victory over The Citadel...Collected a career-high nine tackles against LSU, including his first career sack for a loss of 12 yards...Forced a fumble on Tennessee’s first drive that led to a Florida field goal...Also intercepted a pass in the end zone to prevent Tennessee from scoring as the first half came to a close...Made his Gator debut as the starter at cornerback on opening day against Hawaii, recording four tackles.

 

PREP: Parade All-American...EA Sports second-team All-American on defense...First-team Class 2B all-state selection as a senior...Competed at the ESPNU Under Armour High School All-American Game for the Red squad...Participated in the Burger King All-American Varsity Skills Challenge in the hands’ competition...Two-way star collected six interceptions and recorded over 80 tackles as a senior, while gaining over 1,000 yards on offense...Rushed for 698 yards and six touchdowns in his junior year...Helped lead Pahokee to Florida Class 2B state titles as a junior and senior...Team also won the state title when he was a freshman...Played in four-straight state championship games...Registered 49 tackles and rushed for 698 yards on offense with six touchdowns during his junior season...Four-star recruit by Rivals.com and ranked as the seventh-best cornerback prospect...Ranked the No. 4 corner in the ESPN 150.
