CAREER: A walk-on who made two appearances last season before tearing his ACL.


2008: Played on special teams in the first two games of the season but tore his ACL against Miami and missed the rest of the season...Made his first career tackle on special teams against Hawaii.


2007: Dressed versus Western Kentucky, Troy and Florida Atlantic but did not see game action.


2006: Dressed for the Western Carolina game but did not see action...Was chosen as one of the Scout Team Players of the Week following preparations for Western Carolina...Member of the scout team who dressed for the first two games of the season.


PREP: Attended South Dale High School, where he played wide receiver for coach Don Drinkhauhn...Lettered three years and was a team captain as a senior, and he received the Most Improved Player award...South Dale won two district championships and went undefeated two consecutive years in the regular season while he was a member of the team...Also a three-year letterwinner in soccer for coach Bejarno Morales...Served as a team captain in soccer as a senior.


PERSONAL: Was born Cody Arthur Worton II on April 25, 1988, in Homestead, Fla...His parents are Bill and Kathy Worton...Has two younger brothers, J.J. and C.J.


MAJOR: Civil Engineering.
