What They Are Saying About Eric Rutledge

"You never know what can happen in the SEC, especially the way college football has gone this year. Anything can happen. The seniors have to get in (the young players') heads and talk to them and let them know we've got four games left to play and we want to win out.” (10/30/07)
Eric Rutledge

"He is an unselfish player.  He is certainly capable of making big plays because he is big, strong and fast." (February 15, 2004)
John Clifford, P.K. Younge head football coach

"He has great athletic ability for his size.  He's a guys who will help on special teams.  He's a very tough kid.  We're probably going to start him out as a fullback.  When he gets with Rob Glass in the weight room he could easily be 240-245 pounds and keep his athleticism.  The thing about him is because he has the toughness he could play linebacker or safety and he'll come up and strike you."  (March 15, 2004)
Mike Locksley, Former UF Recruiting Coordinator

"Rutledge, 6-0 and 235 pounds, is a gifted and versatile talent with excellent size and speed." (March 15, 2004)
