JONATHAN PHILLIPS

“I like his approach. He's a grown man now instead of a child. I'm proud of him." (9/15/08)

Urban Meyer, UF Head Coach

"That was the most meaningful meaningless 29-yarder anyone has ever kicked.” (9/15/08)

Jonathan Phillips on the first field goal of his career versus Miami

“The first couple of days, I had some good practices, and then I had a slump. But now, I’m still trying to prove myself.” (8/22/05)

Jonathan Phillips

“But the guy to watch this week is true freshman Jonathan Phillips, rated the nation’s No. 2 kicking prospect coming out of high school by Scout.com. If he shows composure and makes an early move, he’ll have a chance to be the opening night kicker.” (8/8/05)

Gainesville Sun

“He’s got talent. He’s just got to group up a little bit.” (8/24/05)

Urban Meyer, UF Head Coach
