CAREER: Hard-hitting linebacker appeared in 52 games of his career, with 18 starts...Collected 188 total tackles, 105 solo and 83 assisted.

 

2009: Finished the season ranked fifth on the team with 51 total tackles, including 32 solo...Also had one sack and one interception, which he returned for a touchdown...Recorded three solo tackles and one pass break-up in the Sugar Bowl win over Cincinnati...Had five tackles (two solo) in the SEC Championship Game versus Alabama...Tied for second among teammates with five tackles (three solo) against FIU, including a QB sack...Tallied four tackles (three solo) in the SEC road victory over South Carolina...Led the team and set a career high with 11 tackles after starting in the win over Vanderbilt...Also recorded one pass breakup...Made his first start of the season at outside linebacker and finished third on the team with six tackles (four solo) against Mississippi State...Recorded his second-career interception and returned it 23 yards for his second-career touchdown against the Bulldogs...Collected four solo tackles against Arkansas...Totaled a season-high eight tackles at Kentucky...Saw his first game action of the 2009 season against Troy, tallying two tackles (one solo).

2007: Appeared in all 13 games, starting at weak side linebacker for all except versus Georgia...Ranked second on the squad in total tackles with 85 with a balanced 43 solo and 42 assisted...Had a season-high 10 tackles in the Capital One Bowl game versus Michigan...Collected nine tackles in four different games, including Troy and three consecutive games versus LSU, Kentucky and Georgia...Returned a fumble 19 yards for his first career score versus Tennessee...Was the only member of the squad to return a fumble for a touchdown...Recorded an additional fumble recovery in the victory over Troy...Had five tackles for a total loss of seven yards, ranking fifth on the squad.

 

2006: The leading tackler among UF freshmen with 22 stops on the year...Saw time with UF’s kickoff contingent in all 14 contests...Took the field in a special teams’ role during the Tostitos BCS National Championship Game...Registered a solo tackle in the Gators’ win over Arkansas in the SEC Championship Game...Saw action on defense and special teams versus Florida State...Made his first career start against Western Carolina and responded with a career high-tying four tackles, including one for loss...Notched a pair of tackles in the win over South Carolina...Made a solo tackle in kickoff coverage versus Vanderbilt...Assisted on a tackle in the win over Georgia...Made three tackles, including the stop on the game’s opening kickoff, in the Auburn contest...Earned time on both defense and special teams versus LSU, logging one tackle...Registered a solo tackle as the Gators defeated Alabama, 28-13...Played at linebacker in the home win over Kentucky...Contributed a solo tackle to the win over Tennessee...Notched three stops in the victory over UCF...Made four tackles in his collegiate debut against Southern Miss.

 

PREP: Played football, basketball and ran track at Hamilton County before transferring to Live Oak Suwannee as a senior...Rated as the No. 26 linebacker in the country according to Scout.com...Participated in the CaliFlorida Bowl following his senior year at Live Oak Suwannee and was considered one of the best linebackers to participate in the game...On the second play of the game in Suwannee’s 33-14 loss to Raines, made a 64-yard touchdown catch on a trick play...Recorded 77 tackles with 12 tackles for loss as a junior...Chose Florida over Florida State, Georgia, Miami (Fla.) and Tennessee.
