Coaching Accomplishments

  • Florida had 17 interceptions in 2004 after returning defensive backs who had just four career interceptions entering the season. Florida had to replace all four defensive starters in the secondary from the previous year
  • Jarvis Herring ranked third in the SEC in interceptions per game and earned Honorable Mention All-SEC by the Associated Press
  • Dee Webb ranked fifth in the SEC in pass deflections.
  • Spent 16 seasons as head coach at Jacksonville's Ed White High School.
  • Ed White's all-time winningest coach, posting a record of 122-55.
  • Spent 22 years coaching high school football in the Jacksonville area.
  • Ed White made 11 playoff appearances, won seven district championships and six Gateway Conference Championships under Disch.
  • Ed White reached the state quarterfinals four times and was ranked in the top 10 of the final edition of the state football poll eight times.
  • Five of his assistant coaches from high school went on to get head coaching jobs.
