WHAT THEY ARE SAYING ABOUT SHANNON SNELL...

"He's been good on pass protection and has the ability to be a big-time run blocker."
(August 10, 2003) Robbie Andreu, Gainesville Sun

"I believe they're (the OL) great. The junior college guys helped a lot. Max and Shannon will be draft picks next year and they're showing the younger guys a lot. Mike Degory is probably one of the biggest surprises, he might be the best person on the line. He's just getting a lot stronger."
(July 10, 2003) Ciatrick Fason, UF Running Back

"We're real happy that we do get some of the focus because most of the time it's on the quarterbacks and the running backs. Anytime we can bring some attention to ourselves and the offensive line, it's a good thing. It's always the aura that the quarterback is supposed to lead the team or somebody other than the offensive linemen. It's a little bit of added pressure, but I'm ready to step up to the challenge. I think Max is too."
(2003 Gator Bait Preview) Shannon Snell, UF Offensive Lineman

"I feel comfortable with Max and Max feels comfortable with me. When you play next to somebody for a couple of years, and you know his techniques and how he's going to block, you know what he's going to do and what he's thinking. It's a great feeling. We take great pride in that. I wouldn't like to play next to anybody else."
(2003 Gator Bait Preview) Shannon Snell, UF Offensive Lineman

"I've always dreamed of being on ESPN. Being around sports has always been my favorite thing. Even being a sportswriter. I'm a very good writer, and I figure I might as well put that talent to use."
(2003 Gator Bait Preview) Shannon Snell, UF Offensive Lineman

"He's an intense competitor who may be the most athletic guard in the league. If he makes a false move, his feet are quick enough to recover."
(Preseason, 2003) The Sporting News

"Shannon Snell has a mean streak and good strength and potentially is the team's best lineman. He's a strong drive blocker."
(Preseason, 2003) The Sporting News

"Shannon's the one who likes to get everybody up, likes to get everybody ready for the game."
(August 25, 2003) Max Starks, UF Offensive Lineman

"You've got to look at Max and Shannon as the ones who are going to lead this football team on offense. They are the two with the most experience and playing time."
(2003 Gator Bait Preview) Ron Zook, UF Head Coach

"He's had a great camp. Shannon, more than anyone, has taken it to another level this camp. I'm really happy and proud of the way he's performed."
(August 26, 2003) Ron Zook, UF Head Coach

"I think Shannon has made as much improvement in that senior class, from last year to this year, as anybody. He's had a great year. He's led by example this year, and it's showed up in his play."
(November 25, 2003) Ron Zook, UF Head Coach
