2004: Was the top backup at free safety who started three times (Kentucky, Middle Tennessee and Mississippi State) in Florida's nickel package…Saw action in 10 of 12 games, missing the Georgia and Vanderbilt games due to injuries…Was a regular on special teams play…Named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll…480 plays was tops among reserve defensive backs…Finished in a tie for eighth in the SEC with 3 interceptions and was second on the squad in that category…Set a career high in tackles with seven against Arkansas…Also recorded his first tackle for loss in the game against the Razorbacks…Had interceptions in two consecutive games against Tennessee and Kentucky…First career interception came in the contest at Knoxville, where he also matched a then career-high of three tackles…Holmes' third interception came against Miami in the Peach Bowl where he ran it back for four yards…Made first career start when Florida opened with an extra defensive back in the 2004 Kentucky match up…
