CAREER A sixth year senior...Received an extension of his eligibilty by the NCAA for medical hardships...Played in 32 regular season games with 23 starts for 1,550 plays and also played in the 1998 Citrus Bowl and started the 1999 and 2002 Orange Bowls...Played in first game of 1999 before suffering a knee injury in season opener which sidelined him throughout 1999 and 2000)

2001 SEASON First-team All-SEC honors as voted by league coaches and second-team honors from the Associated Press...Named to The Sporting News fourth-team All-America unit...Played in all 11 regular season games with 10 total starts (all but Marshall) for 602 snaps...Also started the Orange Bowl at center...Alternated as a starter at center and right guard...Six starts at center (UL-Monroe, Kentucky, Miss. St., LSU, Auburn and Tennessee) and four at guard (Georgia, Vanderbilt, South Carolina and Florida State)...Received the offensive unit's best effort award this spring...In season opener vs. Marshall, returned to action for the first time since being injured in the 1999 season opener...Made first start in two years at center vs. UL-Monroe

2000 SEASON Did not play as he continued to recover from knee and foot injuries

1999 SEASON Played 56 plays as UF's season opening starting center before injuring his left knee vs. Western Michigan and missed the rest of the season...Co-recipient of UF's Reliable Award on offense during spring

1998 SEASON Played in all 11 regular season games with 10 starts (all but Georgia) for 611 plays...Also started Orange Bowl at center...One start at right guard and nine starts at center during regular season...611 plays ranked tied for ninth overall on squad and second on offensive line...Started the season opener vs. The Citadel at right guard but was moved to center early in the contest due to knee injury to Corey Yarbrough...A starter at center vs. Northeast Louisiana, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, LSU, Auburn, Vanderbilt, South Carolina, Florida State and the Orange Bowl vs. Syracuse

1997 SEASON Played in nine of 11 games (all but Southern Miss and LSU) with two starts (Auburn, Georgia) for 281 plays...Also played in Citrus Bowl...Averaged 31.2 plays per game...Missed the season opener vs. Southern Miss due to a suspension...Made Gator debut in 37 plays vs. Central Michigan...Made first career start vs. Auburn, seeing action in career-high 64 plays...Named UF's Most Improved Offensive Lineman during spring

1996 SEASON Did not see any game action and was redshirted...Worked with scout team on the offensive line at both guard and center

PREP Generally regarded as one of the nation's elite prep offensive linemen in 1995...Named to prestigious Parade All-America Team...A first-team 125 Today prep All-America selection...Named to BlueChip Illustrated Elite 22 list (the nation's top 22 players)...That publication ranked him among the nation's top five OL prospects...Also received All-America honors from SuperPrep which named him among the nation's top 10 offensive linemen...Ranked among the top three offensive guard prospects in the country by National Recruiting Advisor ...A two-time first-team all-state selection...Named to Florida's prestigious Super Seniors Team...Recipient of Wendy's High School Heisman Award (one student-athlete from each state receives this honor based on combined athletic/academic/ community service achievements)...A state weightlifting champion (475-pound bench press as a junior) and set a state record in the summer of 1995 at the Adidas Performance Training Clinic with 42 reps at 185 pounds on the bench press...High school coach was John Carter

PERSONAL Born Zachery Matthew Zedalis on October 29, 1977 in Gainesville, Florida...Parents: Tim Zedalis and Annette Redwine...Hobbies include weightlifting, tennis, basketball and golf...Has also spent his spare time working with the March of Dimes, the Special Olympics and tutoring elementary school students...Favorite actor is Sean Connery...
